Something we don't need
I think the last thing we need here in Florida is to have Al Gore come calling. http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/Vote2004/story?id=186251
He is a man who has become so much a creature of the Washington establishment that he lost complete touch with the world beyond the Washington Beltway and couldn't even win his home state (Tennessee) in the 2000 election.
It would be better to have Howard Dean come here; at least he seems to be a "real" person with a real personality; Al Gore has the personality of a slab of wood.

But as even a left-leaning reporter from the Associated Press should know, Gore has down very well for himself financially by cashing in with his fat-cat liberal buddies since being tossed out of office. At one point, in fact, he started to enjoy the party and rubber chicken circuit a bit too much to the point of putting on weight and starting to look a bit like Michael Moore.
